Happy Summer!
I hope you all are enjoying your summer. We are just laid back trying to stay cool as it has been so hot! I have been crocheting, scrapbooking and all of the normal house wifey things around the house. Unfortunately, blog post have taken the back burner for a bit.
I haven’t seen my two youngest grand children in a while as they have been on a family vacation in Florida for the past two weeks! I sure hope they are having a grand time! We did receive good news on Memorial Day Weekend, our oldest granddaughter, Alana, is expecting a little bundle of joy the end of December/first of January. Here is a layout that I created about that!
Of course, there will be more to come about that! Ciao for now!
I Dare You – May 1st – 15th
There are only a few days left in the “I Dare You” Challenge on the Blueheart Sraps Facebook Fan Page. If you haven’t seen it, hop on over and take a peek. Document your everyday
I am certain that many people see this Blog and think how crazy it is for a grown woman to do scrapbook pages. I would hope that those people would look on these pages as a little piece of history. Family history and personal history. They mean the world to me; They are a part of my life that I am willing to share with you and someday, I hope, my grand children’s children will look at them and be thankful that I was willing to share.
So, one of the challenges that I had for this month was to create a layout of those everyday things that I keep in a specific place. This challenge can be found in the Gingerscraps Challenge forum under “Everyday Moments Challenge“.
Of course, the first thing I thought of was my purse. Over the years, I have carried a lot of weird items in my purse. Mothers know that when you take your children on a trip or in the car, there are a few must haves that are stuffed in the purse to keep them handy. Now that all of my children and grandchildren are grown, I don’t have that problem any longer. I do, however, have a few must haves that I just cannot do without.
Here is my take on the challenge. I used a great little page kit called “Necessities” by BuzzBee Scraps and the template is “Washed Journeys 3up” by Miss Fish Templates.

Weekend Blues
I intended to make a post this past Saturday, however, I have spent all weekend without internet service. I decided to switch providers and go to the new fiber optic internet service that is now available in my area. They got me all hooked up on Wednesday and everything was going fine until we got up on Saturday without internet and we couldn’t get it repaired until this morning. Something about the black box on the pole down the street. Oh well, it’s working now and here I am!
Today is the start of the bi-monthly LAD Challenge at The Digital Scrapbooking Studio. February Favorites
Ok, so February is almost at it’s end for this year and once again, I have dropped the ball with posting. But I do want to share with you all a few of my favorites for this month.

Thursday Treasures
Well, it’s Thursday Treasures here at Carla’s Treasures and I do have a few layouts to share today! I’ll start with a layout that I completed for my newest CT job with Blue Heart Scraps. I just joined her team last week and I couldn’t be prouder. I was on her team quite a few years ago and it is good to be back.
This layout was created with her ‘Be a Friend‘ kit and her ‘What’s New Templates‘. Both are on sale today in her store at The Studio. If you are interested in purchasing either the kit or the templates (or BOTH), simply click on the layout image and it will take you to her store at The Studio.
I have also been working on my weekly layouts for my 365/52 challenge. I don’t always get all of them completed but I always start the year out with good intentions!

January Scrapbooking Layouts
It is cold outside and while most of the US is under a blanket of snow right now, I am thankful that where I live is not, but it is definitely cold! 29 degrees (F) at 7 AM this morning. There was a small bit of rain during the night and there is ice on both of my decks out back but no snow!
